English translation

[840] 4 - (...) Khâlid Al-Hadhdhâ' narrated with this chain: "When the numbers of people increased, they suggested that they should know..." a Hadîth similar to that of Ath- Thaqafî (no. 839), except that he said: "They should kindle a fire."

4 - (378) وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ لَمَّا كَثُرَ النَّاسُ ذَكَرُوا أَنْ يُعْلِمُوا بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ الثَّقَفِيِّ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَنْ يُورُوا نَارًا
