English translation

[90] Aḥmad bin Ibrāhīm narrated to me, he said: "Sulaimān bin Ḥarb narrated to me that Ḥammād bin Zaid said: Mention of Farqad was made in the presence of Ayyūb, and he said: Farqad is not a person of Hadīth."

Arabic text

حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: ذُكِرَ فَرْقَدٌ عِنْدَ أَيُّوبَ، فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ فَرْقَدًا لَيْسَ صَاحِبَ حَدِيثٍ»
