English translation

[1316] 120 - (583) It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbās said: “We used to know that the prayer of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ had ended from the Takbīr.”

Arabic text

120 - (583) حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي بِذَا أَبُو مَعْبَدٍ، ثُمَّ أَنْكَرَهُ بَعْدُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «كُنَّا نَعْرِفُ انْقِضَاءَ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ»
