[1629] 50 - (...) It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbâs said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ prayed Zuhr and 'Asr together in Al- Madīnah, when there was no fear and he was not travelling." Abū Az-Zubair said: "I asked Sa'eed: 'Why did he do that?' He said: 'I asked Ibn 'Abbās the same question as you have asked me, and he said: "He did not want his Ummah to be subjected to hardship'."
50 - (705) وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، وَعَوْنُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ يُونُسَ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ جَمِيعًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فِي غَيْرِ خَوْفٍ، وَلَا سَفَرٍ» قَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ: فَسَأَلْتُ سَعِيدًا، لِمَ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ؟ فَقَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَمَا سَأَلْتَنِي، فَقَالَ: «أَرَادَ أَنْ لَا يُحْرِجَ أَحَدًا مِنْ أُمَّتِهِ»
