English translation

[177] 78 - (49) It was narrated that Târiq bin Shihâb - and this is the Hadîth of Abû Bakr (one of the narrators) - said: “The first one to start with the Khutbah on the day of ‘Eid, before the prayer, was Marwân. A man stood up and said: ‘(Shouldn’t) the prayer (come) before the Khutbah?’ He said: ‘What was there has been left.’ Abû Sa’eed said: ‘This man has done his duty. I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: “Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand (by taking action); if he cannot, then with his tongue (by speaking out); and if he cannot, then with his heart (by hating it and feeling it is wrong), and that is the weakest of faith.”
