English translation
[1890] 263 - (813) It was narrated from 'Amrah bint 'Abdur-Rahmān, who was under the care of 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sent a man in charge of a raiding party, and he used to recite for his companions when leading them in prayer, and he would end with: "Say: He is Allāh, (the) One".[1] When they came back, they mentioned that to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and he said: "Ask him why he does that." So they asked him and he said: "Because it is a description of the Most Merciful and I love to recite it." The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Tell him that Allāh loves him."
