English translation

[1979] (...) It was narrated that Abû Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: ‘We are the last but we will be the first on the Day of Resurrection...’” a similar report (as no. 1978).

Arabic text

(855) وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «نَحْنُ الْآخِرُونَ، وَنَحْنُ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» بِمِثْلِهِ
