[2435] (...) It was narrated thatIsmâ'il bin Muḥammad bin Sa'dsaid: "I heard Muḥammad bin Sa'dnarrating this" - meaning,the Hadīth of Az-Zuhrī which isquoted above (no. 2434) - and inhis Hadīth he said: "TheMessenger of Allāh ﷺ struck mewith his hand between my neckand my shoulder, then he said:'Are you arguing, O Sa'd, becauseI give something to a man?'"
(150) حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ح وحَدَّثَنِيهِ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنَاه إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَا: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، عَلَى مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، يُحَدِّثُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، يَعْنِي حَدِيثَ الزُّهْرِيِّ الَّذِي ذَكَرْنَا، فَقَالَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: فَضَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ بَيْنَ عُنُقِي وَكَتِفِي، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «أَقِتَالًا؟ أَيْ سَعْدُ إِنِّي لَأُعْطِي الرَّجُلَ»
