[2564] 56 - (...) It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar [may Allāh be pleased with them] that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ performed Wiṣāl during Ramaḍān, and the people also performed Wiṣāl. He told them not to do that and it was said to him: "You perform Wiṣāl." He said: "I am not like you; I am fed and given to drink."
56 - (1102) وحَدَّثَنَاه أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاصَلَ فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَوَاصَلَ النَّاسُ، فَنَهَاهُمْ قِيلَ لَهُ: أَنْتَ تُوَاصِلُ؟ قَالَ: «إِنِّي لَسْتُ مِثْلَكُمْ إِنِّي أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى»
