English translation

[2799] 7 - (...) It was narrated from Ṣafwân bin Ya'la that his father said: "A man came to the Prophet ﷺ wearing a Jubbah and perfumed with Khalûq, when he was in Al-Jî'rânah, and I was with the Prophet ﷺ. He said: 'I have entered Ihram for Umrah wearing this, and I have perfumed myself with Khalûq.' The Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'What would you do in your Hajj?" He said: 'I would take off this garment and wash off this Khallā.' The Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'What you would do in your Hajj, do in your Umrah.'"
