English translation

[2997] 187 - (1233) It was narrated that Wabarāh said: "I was sitting with Ibn 'Umar when a man came and said: 'Is it right for me to circumambulate the House before I go to the place of standing (Al-Mawqif)? He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Ibn 'Abbâs says: "Do not circumambulate the House until you have gone to the place of standing."' Ibn 'Umar said: 'The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ performed Hajj, and he circumambulated the House before going to the place of standing; is the word of the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ more deserving of being followed, or the word of Ibn 'Abbâs, if you are sincere?'"
