English translation
[3056] (...) Al-Jurairī narrated a similar report (as no. 3055) with this chain, except that he said: "The people of Makkah were jealous people," and he did not say: "They were jealous of him."

(1264) وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، نَحْوَهُ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: وَكَانَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ قَوْمَ حَسَدٍ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ: يَحْسُدُونَهُ
