English translation

[3177] 346 - (1315) It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, that Al-'Abbâs bin 'Abdul-Muṭṭalib asked the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ for permission to stay overnight in Makkah during the days of Minâ, because he was a supplier or water, and he gave him permission.

346 - (1315) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، «أَنَّ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، اسْتَأْذَنَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنْ يَبِيتَ بِمَكَّةَ لَيَالِي مِنًى، مِنْ أَجْلِ سِقَايَتِهِ، فَأَذِنَ لَهُ»
