[3243] 400 - (...) It was narrated that ‘Āishah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ said: "I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'Were it not that your people have only recently left Jāhiliyyah - or disbelief - behind, I would have spent the treasure of the Ka‘bah in the cause of Allāh, and I would have put its door at ground level, and I would have incorporated the Hījr into it.'"
400 - (1333) حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ، ح وحَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثُو عَهْدٍ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ - أَوْ قَالَ: بِكُفْرٍ - لَأَنْفَقْتُ كَنْزَ الْكَعْبَةِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَلَجَعَلْتُ بَابَهَا بِالْأَرْضِ، وَلَأَدْخَلْتُ فِيهَا مِنَ الْحِجْرِ "
