English translation

[3251] 407 - (1334) It was narrated from ‘Abdullāh bin ‘Abbâs that he said: “Al-Faql bin ‘Abbâs was riding behind the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ, and a woman of Khath’am came to him to ask him a question. Al-Faql started looking at her and she at him, and the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ turned Al-Faql’s face to the other side. She said: ‘O Messenger of Allâh, the obligation of Hajj has come while my father is an old man who cannot sit firmly on his mount. Can I perform Hajj on his behalf?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ That was during the Farewell Pilgrimage.”
