English translation

[3383] 510 - (1396) It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbās said: "A woman fell sick and said: 'If Allāh heals me, I will certainly go and pray in Bayt Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem).' She recovered, then she made preparations to set out. She came to Maimūnah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, to greet her, and told her about that. Maimūnah said to her: 'Stay here and eat what you have prepared,[1] and pray in the Masjid of the Messenger ﷺ, for I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: One prayer therein is better than a thousand prayers offered in any other Masjid, except the Masjid of the Ka'bah.'"

510 - 0 (1396) وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْح، جَمِيعًا عَنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ: حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ امْرَأَةً اشْتَكَتْ شَكْوَى، فَقَالَتْ: إِنْ شَفَانِي اللهُ لَأَخْرُجَنَّ فَلَأُصَلِّيَنَّ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ، فَبَرَأَتْ، ثُمَّ تَجَهَّزَتْ تُرِيدُ الْخُرُوجَ، فَجَاءَتْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهَا، فَأَخْبَرَتْهَا ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَتْ: اجْلِسِي فَكُلِي مَا صَنَعْتِ، وَصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «صَلَاةٌ فِيهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ، إِلَّا مَسْجِدَ الْكَعْبَةِ»
