[3604] 30 - (...) Zainab bint Abī Salamah said: I heard Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ say to 'Aishah: By Allāh, I do not like a boy who has passed the age of breastfeeding to see me. She said: Why? Sahlah bint Sa'd came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allāh, by Allāh, I see some (discomfort) in the face of Abū Ḥudhaifah when Sālim comes in." The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Breastfeed him." She said: "He has a beard." He said: "Breastfeed him, and that which is in the face of Abū Ḥudhaifah will disappear." She said: "By Allāh, I did not see it in the face of Abū Ḥudhaifah (after that)."

٣٠ - (١٤٥٣) وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ وَهَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ (واللفظ لهارون) قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ. أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ. قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدَ بْنَ نَافِعٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ تَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَقُولُ لِعَائِشَةَ: وَاللَّهِ! مَا تَطِيبُ نَفْسِي أَنْ يَرَانِي الْغُلَامُ قَدِ اسْتَغْنَى عَنِ الرَّضَاعَةِ. فقَالَت: لِمَ؟ قَدْ جَاءَتْ سَهْلَةُ بِنْتُ سُهَيْلٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ الله! والله! إني لا أَرَى فِي وَجْهِ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ مِنْ دُخُولِ سَالِمٍ قَالَتْ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "أَرْضِعِيهِ" فقَالَت: إِنَّهُ ذُو لِحْيَةٍ. فقَالَ "أَرْضِعِيهِ يَذْهَبْ مَا فِي وَجْهِ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ ". فقَالَت: وَاللَّهِ! مَا عَرَفْتُهُ فِي وَجْهِ أبي حذيفة.
