English translation

[4025] 52 - (...) It was narrated from 'Abdullâh bin Dînâr that he heard Ibn 'Umar say: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for hunting or herding livestock, two Qîrât will be deducted from his (good) deeds every day.'"

52 - (1574) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى: أَخْبَرَنَا، وَقَالَ الْآخَرُونَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا، إِلَّا كَلْبَ ضَارِيَةٍ، أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ، نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ»
