[4072] 87 - (...) It was narrated from Ḥabīb that he head Abū Al-Minhâl say: "I asked Al-Barâ' bin 'Azib about exchanging (gold for silver or vice versa) and he said: 'Ask Zaid bin Arqam, for he is more knowledgeable.' I asked Zaid and he said: 'Ask Al-Barâ', for he is more knowledgeable.' Then they said: 'The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ forbade selling silver for gold to be paid at a later date.'"
87 - (1589) حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الْمِنْهَالِ، يَقُولُ: سَأَلْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ عَنِ الصَّرْفِ، فَقَالَ: سَلْ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ، فَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ، فَسَأَلْتُ زَيْدًا، فَقَالَ: سَلِ الْبَرَاءَ، فَإِنَّهُ أَعْلَمُ، ثُمَّ قَالَا: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَرِقِ بِالذَّهَبِ دَيْنًا»
