English translation

[4091] 104 - (...) 'Atâ' bin Abî Rabâh narrated that Abû Sa'eed Al-Khudrî met Ibn 'Abbâs and said to him: "Do you think that what you said about exchange is something that you heard from the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ, or something that you found in the Book of Allâh?" Ibn 'Abbâs said: "I do not say that it is either of them. As for the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ, you are more knowledgeable than me, and as for the Book of Allâh, I do not know it better (than you), but Usâmah bin Zaid told me that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'Indeed, Ribâ is only in the case of delayed payment.'"
