English translation

[4315] 40 - (...) It was narrated that Al-Ma'rūr bin Suwaid said: "I saw Abū Dharr wearing a Hullah and his slave was wearing something similar. I asked him about that and he said that he had insulted a man at the time of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, criticizing him because of his mother. The man went to the Prophet ﷺ and told him about that, and the Prophet ﷺ said: 'You are a man in whom there is still some ignorance. (They are) your brothers and servants whom Allāh has placed under your control, so whoever has his brother under his control, let him feed him what he eats and clothe him with what he wears. And do not burden them with more than they can bear, and if you do that, then help them.'"
