[4413] 11 - (1689) It was narrated from Jūbair that a woman from Banū Makhzūm stole, and she was brought to the Prophet ﷺ. She sought refuge with Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, but the Prophet ﷺ said: “If Fāṭimah were to steal I would cut off her hand.” And her hand was cut off.
11 - (1689) وحَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ سَرَقَتْ، فَأُتِيَ بِهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَعَاذَتْ بِأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَاللهِ لَوْ كَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ لَقَطَعْتُ يَدَهَا»، فَقُطِعَتْ
