[4456] 37 - (...) It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet ﷺ used to give forty lashes with palm branches and shoes for (drinking) wine; then he mentioned a similar Hadith (as no. 4454), but he did not mention countryside and cities.
37 - (1706) وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَضْرِبُ فِي الْخَمْرِ بِالنِّعَالِ وَالْجَرِيدِ أَرْبَعِينَ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِهِمَا، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الرِّيفَ وَالْقُرَى
