English translation
[4546] 23 - (1743) It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ used to say on the Day of Uhud: "O Allâh, if You will (that the Muslims be defeated), You will not be worshipped on earth."

23 - (1743) وحَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ: «اللهُمَّ، إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَشَأْ لَا تُعْبَدْ فِي الْأَرْضِ»
