English translation
[5635] 38 - (2155) It was narrated that Jābir bin 'Abdullāh said: "I came to the Prophet ﷺ and called out, and the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Who is this?' I said: 'Me.'" He (ﷺ) came out saying: 'Me? Me?'"

38 - (2155) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَدَعَوْتُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ هَذَا؟» قُلْتُ: أَنَا، قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: «أَنَا أَنَا»
