[5816] 122 - (2228) It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allâh, the soothsayers used to tell us things that we would find to be true.' He said: 'That is a true word that the Jinn snatches and throws into the ear of his friend (the soothsayers), but he adds a hundred lies to it.'"
122 - (2228) وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ الْكُهَّانَ كَانُوا يُحَدِّثُونَنَا بِالشَّيْءِ فَنَجِدُهُ حَقًّا قَالَ: «تِلْكَ الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَقُّ، يَخْطَفُهَا الْجِنِّيُّ فَيَقْذِفُهَا فِي أُذُنِ وَلِيِّهِ، وَيَزِيدُ فِيهَا مِائَةَ كَذْبَةٍ»
