English translation

[5954] 16 - (2283) It was narrated from Abû Mûsa that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The likeness of me and that with which Allâh has sent me, is that of a man who came to his people and said: ‘O people, I have seen the army with my own eyes, and I am a plain[1]’ warner; save yourselves!' Some of his people obeyed him and fled early of a place of safety. Others belied him, and in the morning the army found them in their houses and killed them and destroyed them. That is the likeness of those who obey me and follow that which I have brought, and the likeness of those who disobey me and belie that which I have brought of the truth."
