[6003] 45 - (...) It was narrated that ‘Āmir bin Sa’d bin Abī Waqqāṣ said: “I wrote to Jābir bin Samurah (and sent it) with my slave Nāfi’ (saying): ‘Tell me of something that you heard from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ.’ He wrote to me (saying): ‘I heard him say: “I will be the first one to reach the Cistern.”’
45 - (2305) حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ مِسْمَارٍ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، قَالَ: كَتَبْتُ إِلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ مَعَ غُلَامِي نَافِعٍ، أَخْبِرْنِي بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «أَنَا الْفَرَطُ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ»
