English translation

[6111] 128 - (...) It was narrated that 'A'ishah said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ granted a concession allowing something, but some of the people refrained from it. News of that reached the Prophet ﷺ and he became so angry that his anger could be seen on his face, then he said: 'What is the matter with people who refrain from that concerning which I have been granted a concession? By Allāh, I am the most knowledgeable of them about Allāh, and I am the one who fears Him the most.'"

128 - (2356) وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَمْرٍ. فَتَنَزَّهَ عَنْهُ نَاسٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَغَضِبَ حَتَّى بَانَ الْغَضَبُ فِي وَجْهِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَرْغَبُونَ عَمَّا رُخِّصَ لِي فِيهِ، فَوَاللهِ لَأَنَا أَعْلَمُهُمْ بِاللهِ وَأَشَدُّهُمْ لَهُ خَشْيَةً»
