[6204] 23 - (2398) It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet ﷺ used to say: "Among the nations that came before you there were men who were inspired. If there are any among my Ummah who are inspired, then 'Umar bin Al-Khaṭṭâb is among them."
23 - (2398) حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَرْحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «قَدْ كَانَ يَكُونُ فِي الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمْ مُحَدَّثُونَ، فَإِنْ يَكُنْ فِي أُمَّتِي مِنْهُمْ أَحَدٌ، فَإِنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ مِنْهُمْ» قَالَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ: تَفْسِيرُ مُحَدَّثُونَ: مُلْهَمُونَ
