[6262] 62 - (2425) It was narrated from Sâlim bin 'Abdullâh that his father said: "We used to call Zaid bin Hārithah 'Zaid bin Muḥammad,' until it was revealed in the Qur'ân: 'Call them (adopted sons) by (the names of) their fathers, that is more just with Allâh....'"[1]
62 - (2425) حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقَارِيُّ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: " مَا كُنَّا نَدْعُو زَيْدَ بْنَ حَارِثَةَ إِلَّا زَيْدَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَتَّى نَزَلَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ {ادْعُوهُمْ لِآبَائِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللهِ} [الأحزاب: 5] " قَالَ الشَّيْخُ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ السَّرَّاجُ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ الدُّوَيْرِيُّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.
