English translation

[6641] 106 - (2608) It was narrated that 'Abdullāh bin Mas'ūd said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Who do you regard as the Raqūb[1] among you?' We said: 'The one who has no children.' He said: 'That is not the Raqūb; rather it is a man who does not send any of his children on ahead.' He said: 'Who do you regard as the wrestler among you?' We said: 'The one who cannot be wrestled to the ground by other men.' He said: 'That is not the one; rather it is the one who controls himself at times of anger.”
