English translation

[7357] 96 - (2930) 'Abdullāh bin 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ set out with a group of his Companions, among whom was 'Umar bin Al-Khaṭṭāb, to find Ibn Ṣayyād who was a young boy on the brink of adolescence, playing with the boys on the battlement of Banū Mu'āwiyah." And he quoted a Hadīth like that of Yūnus (no. 7354), to the end of the Hadīth of 'Umar bin Thābit (no. 7356). In the Hadīth from Ya'qūb it says: "Ubayy said:" – concerning the words: "...if she had left him the matter would have become clear" "...if his mother had left him, his case would have become clear."
