Text and translation

English translation

1595. It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The black people came and played in front of the Prophet ﷺ on the day of 'Eid. He called me and I watched them from over his shoulder, and I continued to watch them until I was the one who moved away." (Sahih)

Commentary

Playing games, or sports are not all offensive. On the day of 'Eid, they are allowable. Here the objective was to watch the sport and not the men, although they also came into view naturally. For instance, while walking on roads, women see men around them, in spite of their being in Hijab.
