English translation
1861. It was narrated that 'Abdullāh said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'He is not one of us who strikes his cheeks, rends his garment, calls out the calls of the Jāhiliyyah.'" (Sahih)

1860 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ح أَنْبَأَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ، وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ، وَدَعَا بِدُعَاءِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِعَلِيٍّ، وَقَالَ: الْحَسَنُ بِدَعْوَى "

Commentary
"He is not one of us" means he does not adhere to the Sunnah, rather he is like unbelievers in this particular act, not that he becomes an unbeliever.
