English translation
1863. It was narrated from ‘Abdullāh that the Prophet ﷺ said: “He is not one of us who strikes his cheeks, rends his garment, and calls the calls of the Jāhiliyyah.”” (Sahīh)

1862 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي زُبَيْدٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ، وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ، وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ»
