Text and translation

English translation

1941. It was narrated that Al-Barâ' bin 'Âzib said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ commanded us to do seven things, and forbade us from seven things. He commanded us to visit the sick, to reply (say: Yarhamuk Allâh, may Allâh have mercy on you) to one who sneezes, to fulfill our oaths, to support the oppressed, to spread the greeting of Salâm, to accept invitations, and to attend funerals. And he forbade us from using gold rings, silver vessels, Mayâthir,[1] the Qasiyyah,[2] Al-Istabraq, silk and Ad-Dîbâj."[3] (Šâhîh)
