English translation

2145. Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'The month is twenty-nine (days).'" (Sahîh)

Arabic text

2143 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حُرَيْثٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ»
