English translation
2192. It was narrated from Abû Hurairah that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ used to say: "Do not fast one or two days ahead of the month, unless the one who used to observe a regular fast. In that case let him fast." (Ṣaḥīḥ)

2190 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَقَ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «أَلَا لَا تَقَدَّمُوا الشَّهْرَ بِيَوْمٍ أَوِ اثْنَيْنِ، إِلَّا رَجُلٌ كَانَ يَصُومُ صِيَامًا فَلْيَصُمْهُ»
