2529. It was narrated that Abū Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: ‘A Dirham was better than a hundred thousand Dirhams.’ They said: ‘O Messenger of Allāh, how?’ He said: ‘A man had two Dirhams and gave one in charity, and another man went to part of his wealth and took out a hundred thousand Dirhams and gave them in charity.’” (Da'if)
2528 - أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سَبَقَ دِرْهَمٌ مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ» قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ؟ قَالَ: «رَجُلٌ لَهُ دِرْهَمَانِ فَأَخَذَ أَحَدَهُمَا فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ، وَرَجُلٌ لَهُ مَالٌ كَثِيرٌ فَأَخَذَ مِنْ عُرْضِ مَالِهِ مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ، فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا»
