English translation

264. It was narrated from Anas bin Mālik that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ went around all his wives and only performed Ghusl once. (Saḥīḥ)

Arabic text

263 - أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَاللَّفْظُ لِإِسْحَاقَ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَافَ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بِغُسْلٍ وَاحِدٍ»

Nonetheless, performing ablution between one act of sexual intercourse and the next is desirable.
