Text and translation

English translation

2785. It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I twisted the garlands of the Budn of the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ with my own hands, then he garlanded it and marked it, and directed it toward the House and sent it. But he stayed with his family, and nothing became forbidden for him that was allowed." (Sahih)

Commentary

Putting a garland upon the neck of a camel (when it is being sent forth to the Inviolable Sanctuary for sacrifice) is an agreed upon issue. None is in disagreement with it. It should be borne in mind that putting a garland upon an animal and sending it through someone does not make one a Muhrim or in the state of pilgrim sanctity.
