2908. It was narrated from 'Abdullāh bin 'Umar that he came to the Ka'bah when the Prophet ﷺ, Bilāl and Usāmah bin Zaid had entered it, and 'Uthmān bin Talhah had shut the door. They stayed there for a while, then he opened the door and the Prophet ﷺ came out. I (Ibn 'Umar) climbed the steps and entered the House and said: "Where did the Prophet ﷺ pray?" They said: "Here." And I forgot to ask them how many (Rak'ahs) the Prophet ﷺ had prayed inside the House. (Sahih)

Commentary
This incident took place during the Conquest of Makkah. 'Uthmân bin Talhah was the holder of the key of the House of Allâh. Allâh's Messenger ﷺ, therefore, took him along with him, so that people should come to know that he ('Uthmân bin Talhah) has not been deposed. Usama and Bilal were the Prophet's ﷺ attendants.
