Text and translation

English translation

2929. It was narrated from Hishâm bin 'Urwah, from his father, from Umm Salamah, that she said: "O Messenger of Allâh, by Allâh! I have not performed the Farewell Tawâf.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “When the Iqâmah is said for prayer, perform Tawâf on your camel behind the people.” ‘Urwah did not hear from Umm Salamah. (Sahîh)

Arabic text

2926 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا طُفْتُ طَوَافَ الْخُرُوجِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَطُوفِي عَلَى بَعِيرِكِ مِنْ وَرَاءِ النَّاسِ» عُرْوَةُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ

Commentary

There is no harm in Tawâf of men and women together but they should keep away, as far as possible, from each other.
