English translation

2974. Jâbir narrated that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ climbed up As-Safâ until he could see the House, then he said the Takbîr. (Ṣaḥīḥ)

Arabic text

2971 - أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَابِرٌ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، رَقِيَ عَلَى الصَّفَا، حَتَّى إِذَا نَظَرَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ كَبَّرَ»
