Commentary
People had been present for long and ready in Muzdalifah. Therefore, no sooner did the dawn appear, than the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ led people in prayer without intervention of any pause or interval, so that people might have enough time to engage themselves in the remembrance (of Allāh) during the halt. Since it (the prayer) was offered pretty early in comparison to other customary practices, it was said to be "before its proper time".
