Commentary
In this narration, the phrase 'in the way of Allâh' has been used in its general sense; every good deed or work. Lexically, it is absolutely correct, but the customary meaning happens to be more reliable. And the customary meaning of the Qur'an and the Hadith of the expression 'in the way of Allâh' uses it in the sense of Jihâd.
