English translation

3471. It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ gave us the choice and we chose him; was that a divorce?" (Sahih)

Arabic text

3441 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى هُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَعِيلَ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاخْتَرْنَاهُ، فَهَلْ كَانَ طَلَاقًا ‍»
