Commentary

The purpose of 'Umar ﷺ was that now there is no need to emigrate and come to Al-Madinah, because the number of Muslims during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ was less, and therefore, it was the exigency of time that Muslims came to Al-Madinah in as many number as possible. This was so that enough individuals might be available according to the requirements of Jihâd.
