English translation

5150. It was narrated that 'Abdullâh bin Zurair Al-Ghâfiqî said: "I heard 'Alî say: 'The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ took some gold in his right hand and some silk in his left hand and said: This is forbidden for the males of my Ummah.'" (Sahîh)

5147 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي الصَّعْبَةِ، عَنْ أَبِي أَفْلَحَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زُرَيْرٍ الْغَافِقِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا يَقُولُ: أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَهَبًا بِيَمِينِهِ، وَحَرِيرًا بِشِمَالِهِ، فَقَالَ: «هَذَا حَرَامٌ عَلَى ذُكُورِ أُمَّتِي»
